Crypto address checker
Paste an address to see which network it belongs to and whether its built-in checksum is valid. Sending to the wrong network is one of the most common ways to lose funds. The check runs entirely in your browser.
Common address formats
| Network | Looks like | Checksum |
|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin | bc1q… / bc1p… (SegWit, Taproot), 1… or 3… (legacy) | Bech32/Bech32m or Base58Check |
| Ethereum and EVM chains (BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base…) | 0x + 40 hex characters | Optional mixed-case EIP-55 |
| Solana | 32–44 Base58 characters | None (format only) |
| Tron | T… (34 characters) | Base58Check |
| TON | EQ… / UQ… (48 characters) | CRC16 |
| Litecoin | ltc1… / L… / M… | Bech32 or Base58Check |
| Dogecoin | D… (34 characters) | Base58Check |
An Ethereum-style address is valid on every EVM chain, but the funds only exist on the chain you sent them on. Always choose the same network in the sending app as the receiving wallet shows. See also the address poisoning check.
Frequently asked questions
Does this tool send my address anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser.
Can a valid address still be wrong?
Yes. A checksum only catches typos. A scammer's address is also valid; compare it with the recipient and watch for address poisoning.
