The best TON wallets in 2026
Keeper, called Tonkeeper until September 2026, is the best self-custody TON wallet for most people, with Ledger pairing and fee payment through its Battery feature. Telegram's built-in wallet (renamed Walt in September 2026) is convenient, but its main account is custodial. For larger amounts, pair Keeper with a Ledger.
TON is the blockchain linked to Telegram. On 15 June 2026 its native token was renamed from Toncoin to Gram, with the ticker GRAM. The network is still called TON, and holders did not need to do anything (Bitso support, 2026). You will see both names in wallets for a while.

1. Keeper (formerly Tonkeeper)
Keeper, called Tonkeeper until 15 September 2026, is the best-known self-custody TON wallet, on mobile, desktop, web and as a browser extension. The rename added Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron, BNB Chain, Arbitrum and Base (The Block, 15 Sep 2026); that multichain support is only weeks old. It supports TON Connect for apps, staking, swaps and "Battery", a prepaid fee credit that pays TON and Tron network fees without holding the native coin. Ledger and Keystone pairing is offered during setup, and Tonkeeper Pro, a desktop version for advanced users, adds extras such as multisig. Keeper does not publish a swap fee we could confirm, so check each quote. TOP (The Open Platform) announced a full takeover on 28 January 2026; in August 2026 it said it ran the company but had not yet completed the share purchase from the two co-founders (SpotedCrypto, 16 Sep 2026).
Telegram's wallets: convenient but custodial by default
Telegram's built-in "Wallet" was renamed Walt on 28 September 2026, and Telegram also launched a separate Gram wallet for payments, Gifts and Stars (Crypto Briefing, 28 Sep 2026). The main wallet account has been custodial: the provider holds the coins and you rely on your Telegram login and its account recovery. It has also offered a self-custody section (previously called TON Space), so check which mode you are using. For anything beyond small amounts, use a separate self-custody wallet. We have not reviewed Telegram's wallets in depth. MyTonWallet and Tonhub are other self-custody TON wallets outside our top 20.

TON safety tips
- Telegram is full of fake "support" accounts and giveaway bots. No real wallet will ever ask for your 24 words.
- Some exchanges need a memo or comment on deposits. A missing memo can mean lost funds.
- Type the official address yourself: keeperwallet.com (the old tonkeeper.com redirects there). Expect fake "Keeper upgrade" messages after the rename.
