Uniswap Wallet review 2026: a clean EVM wallet for swapping
Uniswap Wallet is a simple, open-source self-custody wallet for Ethereum and 20+ EVM networks, available on iOS, Android and Chrome. Uniswap Labs says it has charged no interface fee since 27 December 2025, so swaps cost only pool fees and gas. It suits EVM swappers; it is not for Bitcoin or Solana holders or for advanced DeFi risk checks.
Status (as of October 2026): Active. Built by Uniswap Labs, the company behind the Uniswap web app. Recent changes: Uniswap Labs dropped its interface fee to zero (Uniswap support, 27 Dec 2025), after charging 0.15% and later 0.25% on some swaps (The Block). On 4 Jun 2026 it added passkey wallets created in the web app that can be used in the Wallet and Extension, profit-and-loss tracking, a combined multichain portfolio view and one-step crosschain swaps (Uniswap Labs blog, 4 Jun 2026). The Block rates the wallet 3.6 (The Block ratings, Oct 2026).
Verdict
Uniswap Wallet is the official wallet of the largest decentralised exchange. It does what most EVM users need: hold tokens, swap them with good routing, bridge between networks and connect to apps. The design is clean, and since late 2025 Uniswap Labs takes no cut of your swaps.
It is narrower than rivals. It covers only Ethereum and EVM networks, its transaction warnings are simpler than those in Rabby, and we could not confirm hardware wallet support. As a swapping and portfolio wallet for EVM tokens it is excellent; as your only wallet for everything, less so.

Fees
| Action | Cost (as of October 2026) |
|---|---|
| Uniswap Labs interface fee | 0% since 27 Dec 2025 (Uniswap support) |
| Pool (liquidity provider) fee | Paid to liquidity providers on each Uniswap pool, commonly 0.01% to 1% depending on the pool; included in the quote |
| Protocol fee | Set by Uniswap governance, separate from interface fees |
| Network fee | Gas on the chain you use; low on most layer-2 networks |
| Buy and sell | Through third-party card and bank providers, at their rates |
The Block still lists 0% to 1% (Oct 2026), which reflects pool fees rather than a Uniswap Labs charge. Uniswap shows any fee in the swap details before you confirm. See wallet fees compared.

Security model
Your keys are created and stored on your device, and Uniswap Labs says it cannot access or move your funds. Setup needs no name, email or phone number. The wallet warns you before you interact with tokens it flags as risky and routes swaps with protection against frontrunning and sandwich attacks. The code is public and has been audited by Trail of Bits.
What it lacks is the detailed pre-signing simulation of every dApp transaction that Rabby offers. Be careful with signature requests from unfamiliar sites, especially permits and unlimited approvals.
Incident history
We found no verified security incident involving the Uniswap Wallet app or extension themselves as of October 2026. The real-world risks are fake Uniswap sites and apps, phishing ads and malicious token approvals on any EVM wallet. Separately, the US SEC closed its investigation of Uniswap Labs in February 2025 without charges (Coin Bureau, 2026). See our wallet security incidents timeline.
Key features
- Swaps routed through Uniswap's liquidity, with no interface fee.
- Crosschain swaps in one step, routed through Across and Uniswap, across networks such as Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Unichain and zkSync.
- P&L tracking: realised and unrealised profit and loss per token and per wallet.
- Multichain portfolio showing one combined balance for tokens held on several networks.
- Passkey sign-in across the web app, mobile wallet and extension.
- Yield on USDC, USDT or ETH deposits, and buying with card or bank through partners.
Supported networks
Uniswap says the wallet covers more than 20 networks (wallet.uniswap.org, Oct 2026). All are Ethereum or EVM-compatible networks, including Ethereum, Arbitrum One, Base, Optimism, Unichain, zkSync, Zora, Linea, Soneium, World Chain and MegaETH, which are also the networks listed for crosschain swaps (Uniswap Labs blog, 4 Jun 2026). Your address is the same on every EVM network, but your balance is not: tokens exist only on the network you received them on. Always check the network before sending, especially when withdrawing from an exchange. Bitcoin, Solana and TON are not supported.
Passkey wallets explained
Since June 2026 you can create a wallet in the Uniswap web app with Face ID, Touch ID or a passkey instead of writing down words first, then sign in to the same account on the mobile wallet and the extension (Uniswap Labs blog, 4 Jun 2026). This makes getting started much easier.
A passkey is tied to your Apple, Google or password-manager account. If that account is lost or taken over, so is easy access to the wallet. Uniswap lets you export a recovery phrase from settings. Do that once, write it on paper and keep it offline, so you can still restore your funds without the passkey.
Wallet vs the Uniswap web app
The Uniswap web app at app.uniswap.org is an exchange interface: it needs a wallet to connect to. The Uniswap Wallet and Extension are that wallet, holding your keys. You can use the web app with any wallet, such as MetaMask, and you can use the Uniswap Wallet with other apps through its built-in connections. Fees on the web app and the wallet follow the same Uniswap Labs fee page, currently zero interface fee.
Setting up safely
- Type the official domains
wallet.uniswap.organdapp.uniswap.orgyourself or use a bookmark. Fake Uniswap sites appear in search ads. - Install the app from the App Store or Google Play, or the extension from the Chrome Web Store, and check that the publisher is Uniswap Labs.
- Back up the recovery phrase on paper and store it offline, even if you sign in with a passkey.
- Check the network and token contract before every swap; scam tokens copy real names.
- Review and revoke old approvals regularly. See token approvals.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| No Uniswap Labs interface fee since Dec 2025 | EVM networks only; no Bitcoin or Solana |
| Open source, audited by Trail of Bits | Simpler transaction warnings than Rabby |
| Clean design on mobile and Chrome | Hardware wallet support not confirmed |
| Crosschain swaps and P&L tracking | Extension listed for Chrome only |
| No personal data needed to set up | Fewer features for advanced DeFi users |
Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere
It suits people who mainly swap ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum and layer-2 networks and want a clean, low-cost wallet.
Look elsewhere if you hold Bitcoin or Solana, need hardware wallet signing, or interact with many complex DeFi protocols.
Alternatives
- MetaMask: the most widely used EVM wallet, with hardware wallet support.
- Rabby: stronger transaction previews for DeFi. See MetaMask vs Rabby.
- Coinbase Wallet: an easy multi-chain alternative.
